This recipe can be used with the Chicken puffs recipe.
1 package dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/8 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup buttermilk
Dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Mix dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Add wet ingredients. Chill for 1 hour (if desired). Roll to desired shape. Bake at 400 till lightly brown about 12-15 minutes. This can be used as a regular roll recipe or for Chicken Puffs roll out flat and cut into desired shape.
